My practice is structured around storytelling, which I consider a framework of socialization.
I am interested in how narratives and images are constructed and repeated in melodrama, cinema, intimate relationships, but also in educational and institutional contexts. I try to understand how these narratives influence our emotions, ideas, and behaviors, often in subtle ways.
To do so, I use strategies such as fiction, investigation, translation, and role-play. I recompose these narrative forms in order to make their mechanisms of fabrication visible.
I work with writing, video, installation, and performance. I am interested in the manipulative, playful, and aesthetic aspects of storytelling, and in how it changes depending on the medium.
My work is also connected to a feminist approach. By questioning the construction of images and narratives, as well as the functioning of educational institutions, I aim to rewrite certain historical frameworks and to reflect on the production of knowledge.
Moreover, my work is also a way of telling and of making an experience come alive. This relates to a life marked by frequent moves: my works evolve according to the geographical and social contexts in which I find myself. I extract elements from these contexts, which I then transform through fiction.
I often borrow narrative logics from cinema, which I transpose into hybrid dispositifs combining space, installation, and performance. These works generally require activation by performers and by the public, and they sit between deconstruction, representation, and immersive experience.
